Jeanting serves as a material exploration of the lifecycle of consumer goods, transforming outgrown denim and discarded industrial packaging into a structured, tactile composition. The work leans into the wear and damage of the original garments, with deliberate distressing that allows the underlying silver thermal insulation to reveal itself through the apertures. By preserving the functional elements of the denim pockets, the piece invites an interactive dialogue, blurring the line between a static wall-mounted work and a utility-driven object. This study highlights the residual potential of materials often relegated to landfill, documenting a transition from everyday waste to a permanent, curated form.
